With her powers she gave life to that idol after giving life, that idol turns into an adorable child.

The 11 day long Hindu Festival in which Elephant headed God Ganesha will receive puja for eleven days has come to an end and now it’s the time to say bye bye to the lord.
This is the only festival which is celebrate both publicly and privately at home. It is one of the festival where we witness unity among the people with out any religion differences. The youth establish pandals in which a big idol of Ganesha will receive puja for multiple days say 3, 5, 7,9 and 11 days after which the idls will be immersed in the water bodies.
The festival is celebrated in the major states of the country like Maharashtra, Karnataka, kerala, tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Odisha,Mumbai etc.,
People will celebrate ganesh chathurthi and immersion with equal importance.Generally on the immersion day people were seen dancing and throwing colours on each other while moving the big Ganesh idols towards the water bodies. Also people will auction the laddu which is placed as maha prasadam on the first day of Ganesh Chathurthi.
Heavy security arrangements were made by the police department with the paramilitary forces, city police, personnel drawn from State Reserve Police Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, Rapid Action Force have also been deployed for conduct the immersion smoothly. Basic facilities like water supply and prasad vitharan are arranged by social groups and government.

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as birth anniversary of Lord Ganesh. On Ganesh Chaturthi, Lord Ganesh is worshipped as the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. It is believed that Lord Ganesh was born during Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. Currently Ganesh Chaturthi day falls in month of August or September in English calendar.
The Ganeshotsav, the festivity of Ganesh Chaturthi, ends after 10 days on Anant Chaturdashi which is also known as Ganesh Visarjan day. On Anant Chaturdashi, devotees immerse idol of Lord Ganesh in water body after a gala street procession.
Ganapati Sthapana and Ganapati Puja Muhurat :
Ganesh Puja is preferred during Madhyahna as it is believed that Lord Ganesh was born during Madhyahna Kala. Madhyahna Kala is equivalent to midday according to Hindu division of the day.
As per Hindu time-keeping, the time duration between sunrise to sunset is divided into five equal parts. These five parts are known as Pratahkala, Sangava, Madhyahna, Aparahna and Sayankal. Ganapati Sthapana and Ganapati Puja on Ganesha Chaturthi are done during Madhyahna part of the day and as per Vedic astrology it is considered the most appropriate time for Ganesha Puja.
During midday, Ganesha devotees perform detailed ritualistic Ganesha Puja which is known as Shodashopachara Ganapati Puja.
Prohibited Moon Sighting on Ganesha Chaturthi :
It is believed that one should not sight the moon on Ganesh Chaturthi. Sighting moon on Ganesh Chaturthi creates Mithya Dosham or Mithya Kalank (कलंक) which means false accusation of stealing something.
As per Puranic legends, Lord Krishna was falsely accused of stealing precious jewel named Syamantaka. After seeing plights of Lord Krishna, Sage Narada informed that Lord Krishna sighted moon on the day of Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi and because of that he has been cursed with Mithya Dosha.
Sage Narada further informed Lord Krishna that God Chandra has been cursed by Lord Ganesha that anyone who sighted moon on Shukla Chaturthi during Bhadrapada month would be cursed with Mithya Dosha and would be tainted and dishonoured in the society. On the advice of sage Narada Lord Krishna observed Ganesha Chaturthi fasting to get rid of Mithya Dosha.
Mithya Dosha Prevention Mantra :
Depending on start and end time of Chaturthi Tithi, sighting of moon might be prohibited for two consecutive days. According to DrikPanchang.com rules, Moon should not be sighted while Chaturthi Tithi is prevailing. Further, Moon risen during Chaturthi should not be sighted even if Chaturthi Tithi gets over before moonset.

Lord Ganesha is worshipped with all sixteen rituals along with chanting of Puranik Mantras during Ganesha Chaturthi Puja which is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi Puja. Worshipping Gods and Goddesses with all 16 rituals is known as Shodashopachara Puja.
Although Ganesha Puja can be done during Pratahkala, Madhyahnakala and Sayankala but Madhyahnakala is preferred during Ganesha Chaturthi Puja. Madhyahnakala Puja time for Ganesha Puja can be known at Ganesha Chaturthi Puja Muhurat.
All rituals which are prescribed during Ganesha Puja are given below and it also includes sixteen steps which are prescribed in Shodashopachara Puja. Deep-Prajawalan and Sankalpa are done before starting the Puja and these two are not part of core sixteen steps of Shodashopachara Puja.
If you have Lord Ganesha installed at your home and is worshipped daily then Avahana and Pratishthapan should be skipped as these two rituals are done for newly bought statues of Lord Ganesha either made of clay or made of metal. It should be noted that pre-installed statue of Lord Ganesha at home are not given Visarjan but given Utthapana at the end of Puja.
On Ganesha Chaturthi, devotees also perform Eka Vinshati Name Ganesh Puja and Lord Ganesha Anga Puja along with the below Shodashopachara Puja.

Avahana :
Puja should begin with invocation of Lord Ganesha, one should chant following Mantra in front of the Murti, by showing Avahan Mudra (Avahan Mudra is formed by joining both palms and folding both thumbs inwards).

Lord Ganesha is worshipped with all sixteen rituals along with chanting of Puranik Mantras during Ganesha Chaturthi Puja which is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi Puja. Worshipping Gods and Goddesses with all 16 rituals is known as Shodashopachara Puja.
Although Ganesha Puja can be done during Pratahkala, Madhyahnakala and Sayankala but Madhyahnakala is preferred during Ganesha Chaturthi Puja. Madhyahnakala Puja time for Ganesha Puja can be known at Ganesha Chaturthi Puja Muhurat.
All rituals which are prescribed during Ganesha Puja are given below and it also includes sixteen steps which are prescribed in Shodashopachara Puja. Deep-Prajawalan and Sankalpa are done before starting the Puja and these two are not part of core sixteen steps of Shodashopachara Puja.
If you have Lord Ganesha installed at your home and is worshipped daily then Avahana and Pratishthapan should be skipped as these two rituals are done for newly bought statues of Lord Ganesha either made of clay or made of metal. It should be noted that pre-installed statue of Lord Ganesha at home are not given Visarjan but given Utthapana at the end of Puja.
On Ganesha Chaturthi, devotees also perform Eka Vinshati Name Ganesh Puja and Lord Ganesha Anga Puja along with the below Shodashopachara Puja.
